my pupil April 13, 2008

My pupil was much tougher this week. He didn’t do his homework. I’m not sure why I expected he would do it. I really felt the sincerity in his response when he said he would do it. But when we worked he was very distracted and really did not want to be there. He did seem to make some progress on his times tables. I came up with some tools to help him with the other times tables like the 8 times tables and 3 times tables but they weren’t as memorable as the other tool for the 9 times tables. I know this is going to be so important for his EOG so I’m going to keep on working on it with him. I will look up other tips and tricks and tools for helping him remember his other times tables. I think I will bring in nickels to see if that helps him with his 5 times tables.
